Estate settlement is a legal process aimed at identifying and evaluating the deceased’s assets, settling debts, and distributing the inheritance among heirs in accordance with Islamic law and relevant regulations. The estate settlement process includes the following steps: Obtaining an heirship certificate from the competent court. Identifying and evaluating all estate assets, including real estate, movable property, and financial holdings. Listing debts and financial claims and settling them according to Sharia priorities. Managing and preserving the assets until the settlement is complete. Preparing Sharia-compliant distribution lists and obtaining court approval. Distributing the shares to the heirs and formally closing the estate file.
